By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. By/RD. X6136 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/AD26.1.32. UNIVERSAL TYPE BATTERY. X6137 Mr. Davis raised the question of the increased price of the terminal connectors for taper pillars on these batteries. We have written to the Chloride Co. and we attach herewith copy of their reply which shows that we shall still effect a saving with the use of taper pillars even by using the more expensive connectors which will be necessary with such pillars. With regard to the external dimensions of this battery, we queried the fact that in their catalogue they show a width of 6 5/8", whereas in the figures given to us by Mr. Dean their designer, the width was 6.11/16". The second paragraph of their letter satisfactorily explains this discrepancy. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
