X7960. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from PN.{Mr Northey} PN{Mr Northey}1/CP24.10.29. re. 21-EX. I am sending this back to you as in its present condition it is unfit for Trials purposes. We are very short of cars, and are anxious that this car should be available as soon as possible. The engine when picking up at about 25 m.p.h. is rougher than we can own up to. The steering has an amount of lost movement which prevents selectivity at slow speeds, probably due to steering tube ball end movement. I anticipate that the last point should be easy to deal with. The speedometer appears to have developed a fault and tends to read low. We are most anxious, as I have stated, to have this car available as soon as possible. I propose to come to Derby Tuesday morning next. PN.{Mr Northey} RC.{R. Childs} | ||
