Messrs Rolls Royce Ltd.,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr Rowbotham.

With further reference to the experimental autothermatic Pistons, we are pleased to inform you that we have now overcome the initial difficulties which we had in the manufacture of these dies, and castings in both alloys have been produced and heat treated. They have to-day been handed over to our Machine Shop for final machining, and after this operation we shall only have the special tin plating treatment to carry out.

We anticipate having both sets in your possession about the middle of next week.

Regretting the delay which has been occasioned due to faulty die parts,

We are, Yours faithfully,

THE BIRMINGHAM ALUMINIUM CASTING (1903) CO. LTD.
