S/W To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re B-56-BN{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}, in France. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}4/E29.5.36 I notice in Han's report of the 25th, he refers to scuttle temperature after a long run and absence of ventilation and I could not understand this. I therefore made enquiries and find that this sample steel body was originally made with a system of ventilation through the body pillars but that later some alterations were made to the chassis which cut this out so that it is correct that it has no/ ventilation. All the standard bodies including the all-steel ones have the scuttle ventilator. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
