Alternative schemes for distribution board fuses in response to a complaint about stretched fuse wires.

X.4410 - DISTRIBUTION BOARD FUSES.

Referring to EP {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} 's complaint about the Fuse wire being stretched to breaking point we now send you herewith alternative schemes as shown on "D" Scheme 351; one is a simple Nut and Bolt arrangement comprising the following parts:-

D.51275 - Fuse Body - 1 off.
D.51276 - Fuse Contact R.H. - 1 off.
D.51277 - Fuse Contact L.H. - 1 off. } per Fuse.
D.51278 - Bolt - 2 off.
D.50474 - Lock Washer - 2 off.

The contacts rivetted on to the fuse body in the standard way.

The other is, the Fuse Wire crumpled at the end, pushed into a slot and held by a screw.

D.51272 - Clamp - 2 off.
D.51273 - Contact - 2 off. } per Fuse.
D.51274 - Screw - 2 off.
D.50470 - Fuse Body - 1 off.
