HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM{Anthony F. Martindale} c to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} 200a Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM{Anthony F. Martindale}/M.23.2.37. 3.B.IV Brake Lubrication. The new rear brake shafts oiling scheme GL{G. Linnett}833 has allowed oil to get on to the brake linings on B.56.Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} The trouble is worst on the rear side as it runs in the gutter. The drain holes when new allow surplus oil to leak away but like most drain holes they rapidly get full of dirt. We do not want 3.B.IV. to come back from France with oil on its rear brakes. We think the Z/8000/22 (ZS2) and Z/8000/32 (ZT2) plugs are too big. Will HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} please send out GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} at Chateauroux 4 plugs each of ZS1, ZSO, ZT1 and ZTO and will GWH{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} please fit the 1 size plugs. If these are too big he can then fit the 0 size meter plugs. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale} | ||
