O.T. Jones, Esq.,
Vacuum Oil Company Limited,
Caxton House,
WESTMINSTER. S.W.1.

Dear Mr. Jones,

Many thanks for your letter of Sept. 10th giving test results of the two samples of oil we sent you.

It was very good of you to carry out these tests.

With regard to Vacuum Hypoid gear lubricant, do you know to what extent the extreme pressure properties would be lost if the oil were to contain only Lead Naphthenate and no Sulphur ?

We are putting up an axle with no bronze parts in it at all for a further test on your lubricant, but are wondering whether there is any way round the difficulty of using it in an axle which has several bronze thrust washers.

Yours sincerely,
