X8710. Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/AVS. from EFC. EFC4/AD22.10.29. 40/50 HP. CHASSIS 101-UF. Referring to your Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}/AVS8/MW17.10.29, we duly examined the ballast resistance. This showed distinct signs of abnormal heating by over voltage. It was found to be of the old single type. A copy of our report will follow to you. We are sending you herewith a present standard 1 1/4 ballast which we can spare in place of the 1 1/4 you have probably put on 101-UF. This will simplify the question of charge. We should like to know if any examination of the dynamo was made because the over voltage which charred the coil may, if it existed long enough, have made some effect on the dynamo itself. The same applies to the shunt coil of the cut out. EFC. | ||
