Description of a damper's function within the brake mechanism.

| -2- This acts as a damper to all the leverages except the rear brake levers, and is not upset by any wear taking place in the brake mechanism. It not only quietens the clanking of the servo, but damps out the noise from the front brake stops, the front equalising shaft and foot pedal. It does not apply any friction to the application of the brakes, and places no strain upon release. G.W.H. | ||
