Cold Drawn Seamless Tubes in Stainless Iron & Steel.

Herewith I send you copy of a letter from the Weldless Steel Tube Co.Ltd., Wednesfield, Wolverhampton, announcing that they are in a position to supply Cold Drawn Weldless Tubes in sizes from 3/8" up to and including 3" outside diameter with the usual gauges and thicknesses in Stainless Iron and Steel.

You will note that all material used in the manufacture of these tubes by Weldless Steel Tube Co. is manufactured by Brown-Bayley's Steel Works Ltd. under the personal direction of Mr.Harry Brearley.

Recently we obtained from the Chesterfield Tube Co. a supply of tubing in "Staybrite" steel for experimental purposes.

I think it possible you might wish to extend the experiment to cover tubes of Stainless Iron and Stainless Steel, in which case I would suggest that sufficient of such tubing for experimental purposes be obtained from the Weldless Steel Tube Co.

I send this note in duplicate to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} as I think he may desire to submit same to R.{Sir Henry Royce}

Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}
