For the attention of Mr. J.C.Bowering. Dear Sirs, We thank you for your letter of the 29th inst. in connection with a set of D.W.S. Jacks you have received for a 20/25 h.p. car. We note you state that the specification is not that which has been agreed upon for the Jacks for this particular car, but would respectfully point out that the Jacks to the new specification have not yet been completed and it will be some days before we can submit a sample of the new type of Jack, to you. The new type Jacks as per our agreed specification for the 20/25 h.p. car are being prepared for standardization on this particular model and so far we have not received an official order, although we are now practically ready to commence delivery of these. With regard to the set in question, we feel that perhaps there has been a little misunderstanding as we understood from Mr. Lidsey that until the new specification Jacks were ready, he would be quite willing to accept the existing model of Mark II for the 20/25 h.p. Rolls for fitting to cars to customers orders, but that he would not accept these Jacks for standardization. Up-to-date, we have presumed that all Jacks sent to you for the 25 Rolls have been to customers orders.
