| Swell. what exactly do these do to help production. Did not know we were having any trouble Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c: RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}3/HP.4.12.36. Phantom III Cylinder Liners. 319 Ref. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/SS.{S. Smith}2/MJ.16.11.36. Referring to RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}'s suggestion of trying rubber rings under the top flanges of the cylinder liners, which appears to be a production help on the Merlin "F" engine, we are quite prepared to try these on Phantom III, and we have made a design LeC.5415 herewith. This should be instructed experimentally only. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
