Phantom III Cylinder Liners. 319
Ref. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/SS.{S. Smith}2/MJ.16.11.36.
Referring to RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}'s suggestion of trying rubber rings under the top flanges of the cylinder liners, which appears to be a production help on the Merlin "F" engine, we are quite prepared to try these on Phantom III, and we have made a design LeC.5415 herewith. This should be instructed experimentally only.
