The Duke of Kent. This car has now had the full modifications carried out to the engine, i.e. crankshaft drilled, bearings grooved, preloaded, high pressure scraper ring, con rod lubricating holes blocked up, and modified oil pump. The oil consumption on second 100 miles high average speed was 800 m.p.g. Flywheel facings and clutch arrangements. Instructions were issued for flywheel facings to be highly polished to ensure a smooth take up of the clutch. We enclose photo of the flywheel taken out of B-142-HK.{Col. T. Harker - Sales} In our opinion these radial markings are due to the chattering of the tool when machining and is not beneficial to smooth engagement of the clutch. We shall be pleased to have your opinion of the cause of the markings. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
