We will allot an 8-cylinder engine for this chassis one week before it is due from the Coachbuilders. 12.B.V. The mock-up unit out of 10.B. which will arrive from the Coachbuilders immediately after Easter will be fitted in 12.B. The final unit for this chassis will be taken from 14.B. when it returns from France. 14.B.V. W.10 is allotted. 3.B.50 - 15,000 Miles Trials. As this engine is of a new type for 15,000 miles, we want to make sure it is perfectly satisfactory before we pass it off the Test Bed. We, therefore, expect to need it for a week after Easter. We are hoping to get cylinder head PD.368 on it before it goes to France. We have no further comments on these Minutes. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
