S/W. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Copy to Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} CWB. BH. K5950 PN{Mr Northey}5/EH.6.12.26. GSK-35 - Trials 20 H.P. Landaulet. This, with other Trials cars, will be on its way to the Scottish Motor Show tomorrow, Tuesday. This car will call at the Works at 2 o'clock in order that Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} and EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} may, if possible, form an opinion as to an engine thump which we are rather concerned about when giving trial runs on this car. The impression people get, when travelling at about 20 miles an hour, is an undesirable drumming. I do not wish to turn this car down if you can take the view, after driving it, that a definite improvement can be made without very great expense; in fact, I shall be guided by your opinion in this matter. The car, in any case, will continue to Edinburgh, and if you decide to try and improve matters, it can call at the Works on its return from Edinburgh in about ten days' time.
