To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Ha/Rn.{Mr Robinson} e.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} to Mr. c. to Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} Handwritten: X7250 / File Copy Ha/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/MS27.7.29. Handwritten: X7250. X8250. RADIATOR TESTS. As a result of testing half a dozen Phantom and S.S. radiators on the production testing apparatus, we recommend that phantom radiators to E.77644 should be passed off test if the time to pass 60 gallons does not exceed 2 mins; in the case of the S.S. E.77675, if the time to pass 60 gallons does not exceed 2 mins 5 secs. It should be noted that we have tested a new PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I 20 radiator which failed this test badly, taking 2 mins 30 secs to pass 60 gallons. We recommend that the test rig should be improved to enable a more accurate estimate to be obtained for the point whether 60 gallons has been delivered into the tank. Ha/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
