Messrs. Gallay Ltd.,

Willesden,
London, N.W.10.

For the attention of Mr. L.T. Delaney.

Dear Sirs,

We have received the Phantom III type matrix in your non-erodible block, to drawing E.87003, but on examination we find that the matrix depth is approximately 2 1/4" instead of 3 1/4" as indicated on the drawing.

Since we are anxious to dissipate the maximum amount of heat, we want the matrix to be 3 1/4" deep and we do not understand why you have made it 2 1/4". We should like to receive an explanation of this, and also to know whether we can have a 3 1/4" matrix if we return the block to you.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
