J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} 3. FRONT AXLE AND BRAKES

EAL/213.10.31.

x5420
x5360.

Herewith we send N. Schemes 3349/50/51., showing the above.

The axle has been dropped 1.25 compared with the present axle, and the track has been increased, but on account of the reduced lean of the wheels the overall width is not increased.

With reference to the proposal to arrange the brakes so that they can be assembled as a separate unit we shall send a further instruction regarding this in the course of a day or two.
