YOUR REF._________ OUR REF. THS/EMM

H.Leslie Esq.,
Messrs.Rolls-Royce Ltd.
Derby.

January

1938

Dear Mr.Leslie,

I was very pained to learn from Mr.Jonas Woodhead that the springs we recently sent you had not been finished in accordance with instructions on your drawing, namely, equivalent to the Humber Pullman finish.

Our working drawing is very clear on the matter, and it has evidently been a slip in the Works, and afterwards in our Inspection Department, who explain that the springs were rushed off.

The matter has been taken up very severely with these people, and our man is going to collect these springs when he is in Derby, so that we can finish them properly and return them at once.

With many apologies for the slip, I remain,

Yours sincerely,

THSanders
