The British Piston Ring Co. Ltd.,
Holbrook Lane,
COVENTRY.

For the attention of Mr. McCarthy.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to the short cylinder inserts which we are testing, these have now been fitted to four cylinder blocks, and we find on inspection that three cylinder blocks have cracked in the bores due to pressing in the liner.

We would be obliged if you could come over and see these blocks, so that some decision can be made regarding cause and cure.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
