"Goshawk 11" - Electrical Equipment.

Referring to By {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} /C8/F10.11.21, we are in receipt of a letter from the Lucas Electrical Co.Ltd. stating that although the prices they quoted us on 29th September,1921, for electrical equipment for "Goshawk" were intended to apply to orders for quantities, they will put our order for 3 sets through at those prices.

Of course Lucas' cannot proceed with the Starter Motors until they receive the armature shafts, driving end brackets, bearing plates and pinions, which we have to send them and it is advisable that these be despatched to them as soon as possible.

With regard to our wish to receive from Lucas Elect.Co. two 12 volt. batteries to fit the battery boxes of the dimensions which were given to Mr.Breeden when he was here on the 18th ult., Lucas' have written that on further consideration they have decided that they will be unable to meet our requirements, as the designing of a battery to go in the dimensions given to them by us would necessitate a long delay and at the present time they could give no definite promise of delivery. They express regret at their inability to meet our wishes.

Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead}
