CONTINUATION SHEET No. 1

Lord Herbert Scott.

3rd October, 1924.

every outstanding racing achievement to the credit of British Cars has been won on Rapsons Oversize Tyres during the past racing Season; this includes every World's record broken in England and France, exceeding sixty in number, with the exception of the one kilo broken by Captain Campbell in Wales last week.

In strict confidence, I think I might be permitted to inform you that at the last Power Conference which I attended at the Air Ministry, I was privately informed that in comparative tests on Rolls Royce Armoured Cars, Rapson Oversize Tyres had lead to such enormous economies being effected that the Director of Contracts had decided to use these Tyres exclusively in future, whilst they proved so reliable and gave such greater mileages than other makes.

(d). Can the Public purchase them at any Depot? Rapson Oversize Tyres are now stocked in practically every Town in this Country, and throughout the civilised countries of the World.

(e). Do they fit Standard Rims? Yes; both in the Beaded Edge and Straight Sided types, in all sizes.

In connection with the foregoing my Lord, you would probably be interested to hear that I have already personally applied to Derby on the question of standardising the Rapson Oversize Tyres on your Rolls Royce Cars to be considered. I have offered 40% nett discount and if there is any further information I can give you I shall be delighted to visit you personally or write you fully if you will get into touch with me.

Yours faithfully,
Lionel Rapson
Governing Director.
