Chassis No. B-152-HK.{Col. T. Harker - Sales} Capt. Summers.

Bly.{B. W. Bleaney - Bentley Sales}9/R.16.7.36.

We are experimenting with a larger size of tyre for the Bentley. The objection is that the weight of the tyres goes up.

We have reached a stage where if Capt. Summers is really emphatic about his desire for a larger section, we can recommend a 6" tyre on a 17" rim. We recommend this with the provision that we have not yet standardised it. However, we know it is reasonably satisfactory. The India Tyre Co. can supply wheels and tyres at, I expect, additional cost. At present any tyres they supply will be noisier than the existing standard tyre.
