X.3317/- RE "BUICK" CAR.

Referring to the "Buick" car that you have obtained it would appear that this is not the type that we were wanting. We assume, however, it is the six-cylinder over-head valve engine, and is all right for experiments with reference to carburation etc., but we are sorry to hear that the clutch is of the leather cone type, because it was the plate clutch of the "Buick" which we wanted to compare with the new 20 H.P. production.

No doubt, we can, after you have experimented with the carburetter on this car, get another of a later manufacture.

I had the impression that the "Buick" people had used a plate clutche for a very long time, perhaps the model you have is not so recent as 1915. Perhaps you will look into the matter and let us know.
