Dear Sirs,

:For the attention of Mr. E.W. Hives:

We beg to acknowledge receipt of your favour of yesterday's date and are gratified to learn that you intend testing our Speedometer on a car fitted with mechanical drive.

The revolutions of our instrument per mile are 3350 and we calculate with a 33 x 5 Tyre - 640 r.p.m. The Speedometer reduction gear should be based on the latter figure and back axle ratio.

We have pleasure in enclosing herewith our Blue Print 035b, and should you require any further information on the subject, we shall be only too pleased to arrange for our Instrument Engineer to visit you at any time to suit your convenience.

Yours faithfully,

pp. S. SMITH & SONS (M.A) LTD.
