1091 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 26th April, 1939. M.C. Wilks, Esq., The Rover Company Ltd., New Meteor Works, COVENTRY. Dear Wilks, With reference to your letter of the 22nd April, we heard that the trouble with the Buick car was that if anybody backed into a wall, or any other obstruction, the body collapsed and took a lot of straightening out. This seems to us to be rather a tall story. With regard to our cams, the maximum acceleration we use on the inlet cam is .00115 in. per deg.2. The duration is 232 deg. over heavy acceleration. Yours sincerely, | ||
