EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 3/T. -2- Contd. nature as to interfere with efficient separation. Unless you are confident that nothing better can be done than at present, we suggest that you make experiments in this direction, but it must be an advantage in any kind of battery, and especially where efficiency has to be taken into account, to be able to keep down the charging terminal P.D's. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. P.S. Perhaps it was not very clear that the report which we send you for perusal is one of our internal reports dealing particularly with the question of the utilisation of some form of External dynamo control, and that the batteries in actual use on our curve are not subject to the generator volt-ampere characteristic defined therein. We are making tests to determine whether a battery charged in accordance with this characteristic will have its normal capacity, and we shall be pleased to have your opinion on this point. | ||
