X.2814 - REMY IGNITION.

We find we can start the Eagle engine quite easily with the 9 to 1 reduction hand starter and this ignition. We get a spark .050" long when the engine is turned at 8 r.p.m.

The Remy Ignition on the car engine, works quite satisfactorily and one cannot notice any difference in the starting except of course that it will not start on the switch. We find it is not so sensitive to the position of the ignition control as the present battery ignition.

There is some sparking at the contact breaker when the Remy coil is used in conjunction with our contact breaker and distributor.

We have corrected the position of the high tension rotor to suit. The Remy ignition with its own contact breaker does not spark at the points. We are investigating to find the cause.
