Pt. c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Whr.{Mr Wheeler} c. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X5300 BY9/G.24.5.29. 20 HP. - re DAMAGED FLYWHEELS. Referring to Pt9/EAP/15.4.29. we are sending a copy of your memo dealing with this matter to WW. We are inclined, however, to think that Mr. Royce would not be in agreement with the suggestion in question. A similar point was raised previously, but the matter was settled by agreeing to paint the finger of the oil pressure gauge red, so as to emphasize the fact that oil pressure did exist in the system, and therefore the engine was running. Later this suggestion was cancelled, and we went back to a white finger like the lettering. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Br | ||
