Quoted quantity price of cut- out unit alone 12.6d. but this does not include case and terminals which would be required if the item were used as an independent unit. Somewhat variable in operation and liable to failure, e.g. at contacts. Weight 12oys Smith cut-put. with all the minor improvements which R.R. would require. Quantity price £1.13.9 each. One of these went on 4 Ex to U.S.A. and has done 6000 miles O.K. Others without the R.R. modifications have shown up well on test. We are about to receive two further cut-outs with the R.R. modification. Weight 23 oys Bleriot cut-out (X.4215). Two samples giving good results. Further samples to hand and awaiting test.
