RHO. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.Dept. X5230. BY/SS{S. Smith}1/J.20.10.31. 20/25 H.P. Exhaust Fittings. In order to improve the silence of the front Expansion Box, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} wishes to test one built up with a cast iron front cover and inlet bend in accordance with attached blueprint E.57354. This will be secured to a shell similar to E.56959 (but without the 2.000" dia. hole) with 12 - .125" diameter rivets. The intermediate exhaust pipe will be shortened by 4.625". For test purposes it is suggested you fix the 2.000" dia. downtake pipe with 2 or 3 taper pins. Will you please have the parts put in hand as quickly as possible. BY/SS.{S. Smith} [Stamp: RECEIVED 1931 OCT 20] | ||
