BENTLEY AND 25/30 HP. - VALVE GEAR.

It is agreed between Experimental Department and Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} that the hole on the push rod side of the rocker should be increased to .094" diameter as the result of tests which Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} has carried out, therefore will you please issue corrected detail drawings as quickly as possible.

It is considered that the alteration should be done on all 25/30 HP. chassis before despatch, but in the case of the 4 1/4 litre Bentleys it is only necessary to do this on engines which have not been built up, as retrospective action is not necessary on these chassis.
