Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X3456 x766 With reference to your telegram asking whether any results have been obtained by the cowl to the radiator. We have had a cowl made and it is ready for test. We are using one Experimental Car continuously on tests with water boiling. At present we are trying on it several schemes to separate the water from the steam when it boils so that even when the car boils there will not be any excess loss of water. We should anticipate we shall be able to supply some results from the cowling by about the end of next week. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} has arranged to fix up one of the Armoured car chassis with the necessary load and we are proposing to rehearse the test laid down in their latest specification. Practically the only point which we cannot agree to is the conditions laid down as regards water temperatures in connection with this, we shall of course, try the cowling.
