Dear Sirs,

Up to the beginning of this war, the leaf springs fitted to our cars were ground and had grooves milled in them, for lubrication from the centralized chassis system. These springs were naturally expensive. For our post war cars, we would like to obtain a much cheaper version of this spring. We think that the grooves could perhaps be pressed or rolled and the grinding omitted.

We would like to know whether you are prepared to give consideration now to the supply of such springs after the war. If you are, we will send details of our springs, so that you could make proposals for the design and manufacture of the springs.

If you so desire, we would be pleased to send a re-presentative to discuss the matter with you.

Yours faithfully,
