"Again there is a distinct tendency to overheating noticeable in all but the newest of the cars in the neighbourhood of Madrid. I think this is due to the necessity of frequently filling up leaky radiator thereby causing increased scale in water jackets and radiators. It should be remembered that soft water is almost unknown in Spain. I recognise that redesigning for the needs of hot countries is likely to make matters worse for cold ones but perhaps something might be done with 2 speed water pump or 2 speed fan or both pending the discovery of an ideal automatic constant temperature system."
