re: CHASSIS B.174.EF - Mme RUEFF

Total mileage as per speedometer reading 26138 miles

We think that Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} after his recent visit to Rue Gide, will have told you about the failure of N°. 5 connecting rod on this car, which has unfortunately caused very expensive damage to the engine, which will necessitate replacing the following principle parts :-

Upper and lower halves of crankcase.
Cylinder block.
Camshaft.
2 camshaft bearings.
3 pistons.
1 connecting rod.
2 balance weights of crankshaft.

We have to-day ordered the necessary parts from Works.

After the dismantling of the engine, we found the crankshaft and bearings to be in a very good condition.

The following is our report upon the engine.
