RE REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS.

With reference to Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}'s memo. to you Bn{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington}14/W24.2.20, in which he asks you to "show these shock absorbers in the Coachbuilders' drawings, notwithstanding the fact that they are not yet standardised, in order that all cars now delivered will have such parts as wing brackets etc. arranged to clear these details". We attach hereto copy of memo. marked "Urgent" which we have received from Mr. Cowan.

We shall be glad to have the necessary information to enable us to reply to Mr. Cowan's enquiry -

1. Whether it has been definitely decided to fit shock absorbers to all cars which have been issued.

2. How soon the shock absorbers can be supplied for 71-CW, 24-TW and 32-PP.

We shall also be glad to know how soon Coachbuilders' drawings can be issued showing the rear shock absorbers, as we should like to issue these immediately to our various Depots. and Inspectors, so that even if the shock absorbers cannot be fitted, the coachwork can be so arranged that the shock absorbers can be fitted at a later date if it is decided to do so.
