28-EX. Park-Ward Limousine.
Coachwork Inspection.

This car has completed 26,000 miles in France and 6,000 miles in England.

BODY.

The body brackets were checked over, one body bolt was found loose, the others were quite tight. The panelling is cracked badly at the base of the driving screen pillars, and between the corners of the sunshine roof and the screen pillar (this body is not fitted with floating joints to the pillars).

At the rear of the body the panelling is cracked where cut away for the hinges of the concealed luggage grid lid.{A. J. Lidsey} The locks on the lid{A. J. Lidsey} are of the "budget" type and have rusted internally, making them difficult to operate.

Underneath the luggage carrier there is a metal tray extending the width of the body. The heads of the wood screws fixing this to the body have cut through the aluminium, leaving the tray to float and rattle at the body edge.

BODY INTERIOR.

The screws holding the rear seat squab have worked loose.

The spring ball locking catches holding the occasional seats in position are not strong enough to keep the seats in the closed position.

BODY HEATER.

The Clayton heater functions correctly and has passed through to date without any attention.

In the driver's compartment the metal clips holding the seat board in position are bent, these are not strong enough for the required work.
