"Report of Test of Multiple Storage Batteries."

Mr. A.B.C. Hardy.

We submit herewith Mr. Farr's report of test on Multiple Storage Battery. This test was carefully conducted with the equipment which we had and at least brings out the practical service value of batteries in comparison with our standard Willard type.

A good deal of time was consumed in getting these batteries in a condition where we were certain that both Willards and Multiple batteries had an equal chance on breakdown test.

The conclusion I make from this report is that the Multiple Battery is equal to the Willard or better in service. The construction of the Willard is supposed to be superior and the type of grid used in the Multiple suggests possibility of past falling out. However, this doesnot appear to have occurred on the severe service given these batteries by the Oakland Company.

P.S.
These Multiple batteries had been on an Oakland service car for over two years before being sent on to New York for breakdown test.
