(3) P.S. With reference to this section dealing with spring washers, it was found on the model we received here that the head of one of the screws had been burst from the shank by the uneven loading exerted upon it by these badly formed spring washers. We think that the screws holding on the terminal tabs should be made fo steel, and should be .075 longer than as shown on the model. This extra length also applies to those screws securing the terminal posts to the back of the bakelite block. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
