On sheet 6 we show the method of making this attachment. The scuttle attachment at the top is made rigid by the use of a special aluminium packing between the body and the dashboard, see sheet 6, Fig. '1'. Likewise the side scuttle attachment is rendered solid by the use of an aluminium block in place of a rubber one, see sheet 6, section 'm'. The scuttle to frame attachment at the scuttle base consists of a solid bolting with an aluminium packing to replace the rubber, see sheet 6, Fig.'a'.

All of these special parts can be obtained by application to Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.

The body mounting on the chassis body brackets is the same as that for the fixed head closed bodies as shown on sheet 1, which instructions should be rigidly adhered to.

Experiments have proved that this rigid attachment of the scuttle to the dashboard and the frame has added increased rigidity to the front of the body in the case of the Sedanca and all other types of body having a demountable front cantrail such as the Cabriolet, Drop Head Coupé, and All-weather.
