COPY. COPY. sheet 2. R1/P 2.9.13. which Mr. Johnson greatly admired, there is no attempt at irreversibility, as no worm is introd- -uced. Our steering, however, is in hand for improvements, such as we can do, but we are anxious not to spoil the beauty of our easy steer- -ing, its self-righting property, and its excellent wearing features. We are awaiting from Mr. Haldenby test of the degree of reversibility of the various cars that he can compare. That is, we wish to know what force at the road wheels will lift 100" pounds or 250# lbs. if this is more convenient, at the steering wheel. We are also awaiting the fitting of plain thrust bearing on the steering column. Other improvements are in hand for Series 2800, where we are adopting wire wheels.
