Hydraulic Jacks.

Referring to Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}21/KW.9.5.35.

At present we have two cars fitted with "Jackalls", namely 28-EX and 5-B-IV.

21-G-IV is to be equipped shortly with the system removed from GZU-24.

28-EX.
Hydraulic Pump.

On the 8.4.35. we returned this pump to Smiths with a leaking release valve. They replaced this and the pump has since been satisfactory.

Front Jacks (Double Stage).

These have proved satisfactory throughout their tests during the seven months they have been in use.

Rear Jacks (Single Stage).

Fitted at the same time as the double lift Jacks, have proved satisfactory until a few days ago, when the nearside commenced leaking past the gland. This of course renders the rear Jacks useless.

We intended that Smiths should put this matter right at the same time as equipping 21-G-IV, but as it may be some little while before we can arrange this, we are removing the said Jack and sending it direct for repair.

Pipe Lines.

Copper pipe and Lockheed Flexes fitted - no trouble.

Jack Brackets.

No trouble.
