Dear R.M.,

Thank you for your telegram in reply to my letter saying that you could deal with my car at any time. I got in touch with Pike to-day but he did not seem to know about the modification to the brakes which I have heard talked of so much in the trade (I do not know myself what it is except that it is supposed to give much better braking), and he said he had not any of the larger driving dogs there with which to tackle the car but that he could deal with the squeaking brakes. He wondered if you could write him a line telling him just what is to be done and then I can settle with him when the car is to go up there. May I therefore bother you further in asking you to write to Pike and putting him wise as to what is to happen.

Yours sincerely,
G.R.N. Minchin
