Limitation of Expenditure. The General Manager has issued instructions that requisitions for materials and parts to be ordered must be submitted by me to Jn. in duplicate, each requisition to give the approximate amount of the order it is intended shall be issued. I shall, therefore, be glad if each Department will comply with this instruction and, at the same time, arrange that the duplicate of each requisition is marked "DUPLICATE" and that both the original and duplicate requisition be signed by the Head of the Department and sent to me for submission to Jn. In cases where it is possible for a Department to closely estimate the expenditure which a requisition entails, the amount should be stated; otherwise the amount will be estimated by me. This instruction does not apply to requisitions issued by Sn.{Mr Sanderson} I should esteem it a favour if the Head of each Department to whom this note is addressed will acknowledge receipt of same.
