X7800 EFC4/AD. 16th January, 1930. X.4520. X.7800 Messrs. Joseph Lucas Ltd. Great King St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Birmingham. Dear Sirs, Lamps. Confirming out telephone conversation of this morning, we are, as arranged in telephonic communication with you a few days ago, awaiting a visit from your Mr.Thacker together with a man originally for the purpose of effecting certain changes on head lamps on our experimental cars, details of which have been communicated to you. We are also now anxious to see Mr.Thacker on additional matters which have cropped up in the meanwhile. We do not see in your most recent catalogue any mention of a lamp made up specifically as a third lamp for two-way switching with the head lamps, i.e. not a spot lamp but one with a more diffused light, more suitable in fog or other circumstances. We are anxious to be able to recommend to clients a really good third lamp for two-way switching and to know if you are able to submit a sample. In addition to the above we are anxious to obtain a rather better two-way switch than the one you have submitted to our Sales Department and which has been submitted to us by them. We believe our Sales Department are approaching you on this matter and we are anxious to have an approved sample as early as possible. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
