Rec'd at WW. 28.2.29 c.to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} C. CX.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} HEADLAMPS X7800 HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} weighs up the headlight situation in his memo of 28.1.29. I agree with his conclusions and prefer the three lamp scheme. Barker and Lucas dippers are very unsatisfactory: I would never think of using them. A switch scheme is as much as one can work, and one must have the important lamps focussed correctly and undisturbed. With our 18-EX we have done over 80 MPH. in the dark. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} says this scheme is good for fog, which seems of the utmost importance. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
