Bijur supplying unit. | Drops per min. | As fitted | Condition of bearings.

N/s wheel unit.
Top pivot bearing. | | | Well lubricated. Roller race in good condition.
Bottom pivot bearing. | | | Plentiful supply of oil. Very slight play in bearing.
Brake toggle shaft. | 1 | 2 | Well lubricated. Bearings in good condition.
Front axle control anchorage spindle. | 8 | 4 | Bijur changed early on. This bearing gave out and had to be faked up. At finish of test, well lubricated. Scheme for oiling ball end is a complete failure, no oil has got to it.
Brake operating shaft. | 4 | 4 | This shaft was well oiled at both ends. Our reason for this is the riding position of the car: this side would be tilted up most by camber of road, thereby allowing flow of oil to inner end.
Cross steering tube
N/s steering arm ball end | 4 | 4 | Well lubricated. Ball in good condition.
O/s cross steering tube ball end. | 7 | 4 | Well lubricated, drops as checked ball end in good condition.
Side steering tube
Front end of steering arm | 5 | 4 | Well lubricated. Ball end in good condition.

The soldered joints on the feeding pipes on the front axle have given a lot of trouble. They will not remain solid, the solder continually cracks but does not necessarily cause an oil leak at the time, would certainly do so if not noticed. We strongly recommend the joints to be brazed all over the system.

REAR AXLE UNIT.
N/s rear brake toggle shaft | 4 | 4 | Good film of oil on both shafts. Water enters at chauffeur's end adjustment, locking cover is not water tight. Oil drip should be increased to 8 per min. for these shafts.
N/s rear brake counter shaft. | 10 | 0 | Drops omitted on chart. Over-lubricated, reduced drops to 4 per min.
O/s rear brake toggle shaft. | 4 | 4 | Found shafts at toggle end without oil and rusty. Front end good film of oil. The same trouble as n/s for water entering. Oil drip should be increased to 8 drops per min.
O/s rear brake counter shaft. | 10 | 0 | Over-lubricated. Reduced drops to 4 per min.

One soldered joint found cracked feeding o/s counter shaft.
