The base is Bakelite moulding, while the cover is of aluminium pressing. The fuse-holders are of the type standardised for the 40/50. A colour scheme is required for the wiring, as specified. A numbering scheme is required for those conductors which have to be detached when removing the instrument board, or switch box, or ammeter. Conductors have Bakelite cuffs with moulded numbers on them, and corresponding numbers are moulded on the instrument board, opposite the terminals to be identified.
