1033 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}4/MH.{M. Huckerby} 10th. October 1938. The Zenith Carburetter Co. Ltd., Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, MIDDX. For the attention of Mr.Turner. Dear Sirs, With reference to your letter of Oct. 7th. there has been a slight misunderstanding concerning the sample carburetters; both Mr. Robotham and myself having replied to your first letter. The true position is now as follows. We would like to hang on to the four sample carburetters until we have cleared up the specification of future carburetters. But we would like you to supply the following:- 2 Skeleton carburetters (no innards), one to be finished as per the sample No.2813, and the other the same finish as supplied for our production 25/30 car. This is assuming, of course, that you have the necessary record of the 2813 model carburetter. Will you please confirm that you can fulfil these requirements. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
